£50.00 – £90.00
This painting is of my first visit to a beach since my accident.
The last time I was on a beach I left in the back of an ambulance.
In July 2009 I ran down the beach and into the water to what felt like a good depth. I dived forward without realising there was a sand bank in front of me. I went head first into the sand bank and dislocated my neck leaving me unable to move in the water. I was face down completely immobile, drowning, desperate to catch a breath to save my live.
That day left me paralysed from the top of my shoulders down.
This visit to the beach I have painted, was completely different but still as great as ever! I still get to enjoy the sun, blue sky and fresh sea air. So much to be grateful for.
THIS PAINTING WILL ALSO BE USED AS THE FRONT COVER OF MY BOOK “THE LITTLE BIG THINGS” RELEASED SEPTEMBER 7th 2017.
