I was commissioned to paint a picture of the Clifton Suspension bridge from my friend to his girlfriend. It was the place they first met. There is an annual event there when hot air balloons gather and such a richness of colour to an already great view.
This painting presented a brand new challenge for me. The sheer volume of tree was the biggest problem. Not only to try and make them resemble trees but also to show the depth of the trees.
The actual bridge itself was a struggle to get completely straight without any aids to assist me.
