Aloe vera

Aloe Vera – I was asked to paint and provide previous paintings a bespoke range of phone cases. Two existing paintings of mine were used and this was to a new addition to the group. They wanted something different from the others (K2 and the Jaguar) so we decided on a plant that would really stand out. The Aloe was a fun one, and challenge, to paint. I only used two greens, white paint and a tiny bit of black. The shapes and shadows were very satisfying to paint.
