I decided to try something other than an animal painting on the black card. I wanted to try painting a landscape, it had been a while since I painted a landscape.
It was important to me to put a lot of colour and vibrancy into the image. I wanted to make the sun the star of the show and use that to create the other colours and shadows.
It took a lot of layering of paint to create an image I was finally happy with. You can see the paint doesn’t go right to the corners, that’s because I cant reach that far.
