The Highland Cow

I chose to paint a Highland Cow because they are such fascinating animals. Even though you rarely see their faces they seem to have so much character, normally displayed by their long flowing hair. This is what I wanted to capture in the painting. The painting of their hair seemed to suit my style. I chose to leave one eye exposed and the tongue sticking out to show the character and the endearing side to this large beast that people really love.
