I’d never thought about painting a fried egg until I saw how striking they can look on canvas. Since we used to keep chickens, it felt like a fun subject to try.
My main goal was to capture that golden, runny yolk. Then I focused on the whites, making one side more translucent and layering the other with thick strokes of Permanent White (instead of my usual Zinc) to create texture and depth.
Limited edition prints available:

Each fine giclée print is part of a carefully curated limited edition run. Once sold out, these will not be reproduced again.
