Dahlia – I painted this a gift for someone so the subject matter was not my choice but it was one I was very excited about painting. It turned out to be a huge challenge and took many sittings to complete. The position and number of petals were hard to keep an eye on. Whenever I placed one petal I had to move another. It seemed never ending. Then I had to try and show the layers and depth. As mush as it was a challenge, it was one I really enjoyed.
