More yellow!
I started this by working from a black and white image so I could identify the tones but using colour to represent the different tones. The yellow for the lighter areas and darker paints for the black and grey fur.
It’s a painting that I wanted to look very simple not using much detail but the longer I painted I realised it wasn’t working so I had to keep adding layers of paint to give more information.
When I thought I had finished I moved back and something was missing. I took a photo and kept looking at it on my iPad and playing around on there. Then I realised it needed more yellow. Lots of yellow!
