The final piece.
My lemur painting was the very last thing I painted for my exhibition Hand to Mouth IV. It had to be on a red background so my usual routine of picking the image, paint and background had been reversed. It’s very rare I do this. Very. I am a man of routine. But being forced to work this way was fun because I also knew I wanted to make the piece using white paint with only accents of colour. Something that is really reduced down to shapes rather than detail. Like my lobster painting.
