Fur. Lots of Fur.
When I started this was I wasn’t sure if I could recreate the fur as it’s such an integral part of what makes these animals so cute. But that was something that could wait until the end.
First steps were just about the base colours and deciding how I was going to represent the colours. The colours I chose were not the same as the actual panda but when they come together, blended at the edges and lighter fur added they give the illusion that they are almost true to life colors.
Then came the fur. This was tough because I was just trying to do tiny flicks so needed more control from my neck. It was tiring but I think the effort was worth it. I hope.
