The Rooster

This was another animal I have wanted to paint for a while but could never think of the right way to do it. What angle would work best? Can I get the right colours? The correct background? In the end I pick the things I thought really defined the rooster’s look, the head, tail and the bright colours.

They are primary colours so I thought the white background would bring out the colours best. The tail took me ages but it made me paint in a different way and I was very happy come the end.
