The Water Lily

After spending so much time outside in the sun last year during lockdown, I spent a lot of time really looking at the nature surrounding me. Especially the lilies in our pond. There are multiple lilies and they open and shut at different times and seeing one fully open is a really joy. That’s why I painted this because I wanted to capture that moment for me and others.
