The Wave

My first painting of 2020.

I was wanting to try something different for my first painting of the New Year and to mark 5 years since my first time trying to draw using my mouth.

I remembered my favourite painting from when I was 8, a copy of Hokusai’s The Wave. So I wanted to create my own version of it, but the wave as a living thing and the sunlight reflecting off the water.
